we're using up freezer stock in advance of our move

had moroccan chicken last night and am heating up leftovers for lunch

tis delicious

have used them a few times to fake a home made meal for friends when i've had no time to cook

Tis de'riguer in Surrey for Mummy evenings, either that or top quality Chinese takeaway.

CountessDracula · 19/10/2006 23:20

no never

there is one in Barnes, I went in to check it out but it all looked a bit crap tbh

SherlockLGJ · 19/10/2006 23:21

Move to Farnham, it is truly excellent.

hooOOooleymama · 19/10/2006 23:28

the LIDL in Farnham is very nice- don't think they cater for dinner parties though- could be wrong

SherlockLGJ · 19/10/2006 23:29

Lol

Hooooooooooolley

Are you new, or a regular MNer ??

Hate these Halloween names, can barely keep up at the best of times.

hooOOooleymama · 19/10/2006 23:32

Yep new - mumsnet is a lifeline for an insomniac/no mates/first time mum like me

is this a private thread - shall I get me coat?

SherlockLGJ · 19/10/2006 23:34

Not at all.

There are not that many MNers actually in Farnham, wish I had, had this 5 years ago when DS was born.

hooOOooleymama · 19/10/2006 23:37

sadly I'm not in Farnham - took advantage of your lovely LIDL on our way back from Guildford one day.

There's a COOK in Epsom -do they provide the ingredients to throw together or the whole ready made meal.

SherlockLGJ · 19/10/2006 23:39

Have no idea about Epsom, do you live there ??

hooOOooleymama · 19/10/2006 23:46

nope not there either

I live in sunny (whispers) Redhill - far less salubrious - but I get out & about a bit

we don't have COOK, nor sadly a LIDL anymore (though ours wasn't as nice as the Farnham one), but we do have Priory Farm shop that sells dinner party fare for silly prices...

hmm just checking out Tutters link

household consists of 2 veggies & weak willed KFC eater - indonesian veggie curry could be nice, but I do like the chance to be a carnivore again...all looks very nice

veggie menu is better than most I've seen

like the recyclable packaging thing too

hmm think I deserve a treat

ah well - best go off to bed now- hooleyboy has his first snotty cold, kept me awake from 4-6.00 this morning-I should get an early night.

night all

hooOOooleymama · 20/10/2006 09:25

so much for an early night- couldn't sleep for ages then hooley boy woke me up from 4.00 onwards - at least on maternity leave I can catch up on sleep during the day.

actually this COOK stuff doesn't look as expensive as I thought it would be, compares to our local indian take-away, I might check the budget & do a big internet order. I'm not the worlds best cook, especially not for veggie stuff. DP on the other hand can do Ready Steady Cook with LIDL ingredients and deplores my extravagance...ho hum

GoingQuietlyMad · 20/10/2006 19:21

The COOK in Epsom is great btw, it is in the Ashley shopping centre. From Redhill, I think there is also one in Godstone or Oxted, can't remember which. Oxted I think.

hooOOooleymama · 20/10/2006 22:52

I don't think there's very much at all in Godstone, not Old Godstone anyway.
