vegetarian meal plans this week?

what's everyone having? Need inspiration

It was a complete accident Remus! I was out of bread and bread flour but had everything to make cheese scones and needed to bulk a meal of soup out somehow. It seemed to work

:) They were HOMEMADE cheese scones too? Right. When can I move in?

I doubt you'd like it generally, Remus. It all came about because I decided to (in disbelief) try the 'feed your family for a fiver a week' theory. So I had to do everything from scratch. Turns out, it's almost possible to feed for a fiver per head, per week after all. Now I feel obligated to keep it up

We realised the other day that the most expensive meal we regularly eat is probably sausage and mash. Sounds ridiculous, but I have to have veggie sausages and I will only buy 'kindly' reared meat for the carnivores, so it adds up.

Generally though, we eat veggie most of the time, and I'm convinced that helps to save money. Lentils, beans, tofu etc are much cheaper than meat.
