olive oil ?

I'm not a fan of spreads.

I think good quality butter would be nearly as healthy as the olive oil though.Thats what I would have.

bluejelly · 16/10/2006 15:23

zippitippitoes · 16/10/2006 15:24

is 'butter me up spread' one of those pretend butter things? cant be dealing with that tbh - just have butter; its hardly a huge part of your diet is it??

and it depends how much salt. olive oil has 'good' fats - stuff you really need for one thing and two...

northerner · 16/10/2006 15:28

Proper butter here too.

bluejelly · 16/10/2006 15:28

There;s a village in italy where they drink olive oil. V long life expectancy

nappiesLaGore · 16/10/2006 15:28

oh no, you win that argument. deffo.

not that i can back that up with a single factual piece of info

Spreads are made of trans fats that are bad for you. Butter really is healthier than spreads I think

nappiesLaGore · 16/10/2006 15:30

yes northener, and it has to be salted too !

i am really quite healthy otherwise - but as i said before, its not like you eat the stuff by the plateful is it??

nappiesLaGore · 16/10/2006 15:31

why crap ks? coz they drink olive oli??

nailpolish · 16/10/2006 15:31

hate spreads too

butter all the way

doesnt have to be inch thick

zippitippitoes · 16/10/2006 15:31

I don't use the butter me up except on very rare occasions just found a review on ciao

it is just the self righteous way that dp pointed out the unhealthiness of my choice

olive oil is healthier than butter and a zilliontimes better than any man made spread. Your dp will have to eat a lot of humble pie (drizzled with olive oil no doubt)

zippitippitoes · 16/10/2006 15:34

is it in le marche..that looks so ,lovely on place in the sun

moondog · 16/10/2006 15:36

Butter all the way.

Olive oil on bread (if you can call it thus) is all very well in Puglia under a blazing sky.

Perhaps not qite so alluring on a wet Monday in Luton.

Greensleeves · 16/10/2006 15:54

We buy unsalted butter.

nailpolish · 16/10/2006 15:55

HowwwlidaymumsSalemPilgrimage · 16/10/2006 16:01
