healthy lunch ideas for 'up the duff' lady

Morning all,
I am 4 months preggers and having been suffering from constipation. As a consequence of which have ditched my usual boring sandwich for lunch (as I need to use every opportunity to get fibre and fruit into my system!).
I am also on a massive economy drive so have to make my own lunches. So far I have heated up leftover soups and stews?. Made a pumpkin/pine-nut/spinach and feta salad and put together a crunchy salad with some wholemeal bread and cottage cheese. But I am starting to run out of ideas??
Does anyone have any tasty recipes for bean salads? Or interesting things to do with pasta that I can get veg/fibre into or other ideas/recipes that might be suitable. I have a wide necked flask so hot things are ok (as long as its not too much extra work to prepare the night before)
Cheers in advance for any suggestions.
Hettie

Hi, Hettie, I've been in the same situation. I thinl it's very common. Try plain yougurt mixed with honey and prunes as a nice snack. I think it's better to stay away from pasta as it makes our condition worse. Vegetable soup is good, you could use any vegies mixed with some canned beans. It's pumpkin season now and pumpkin soup made of carrots, onions, potatoes and pumpkin is very tasty. Beetroot soup made with pots, carrots, onions, beetroot and tomatoes is exccellent as well. Salads are good. Try sliced cucumber, tomato, some rocket + avocado with olive oil and lemon dressing and a bit of seasoning. Good luck, Hettie, please let me know how you ar getting on and if you need any more ideas.
