I only have a 27 cm pan but recipe states 25 cm pan... should I scale up? Ingredientsfor 25 cm as follows.

375g plain flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
60g unsweetened cocoa powder
225g butter, softened
110g margarine
600g caster sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
5 eggs
250ml milk

Many thanks!

If you divide everything by 5, you'll get the value you need to add per egg.

So to make a 6 egg mix, divide by 5 then times by 6.

I wouldnt bother. My lovely bundt cake recipe book says that the recipes are for 10 -12 cup volume cake tins. Although the recipes are in cups the standard recipe is for 2.5 cups which i think is 350g flour, 170gms butter and 245gm sugar and 3 eggs and 10floz milk that is right for my 24cm (12cup) tin.
You have a lot more ingredients than that andare you sure about the 600g of sugar!

assume this is the recipe

One of the reviewers said they used a smaller tin and it spilled over, so stand by what i said above and dont bother scaling up.

Thanks very much - I'll stick to the recipe. Julia thanks for the advice - assume this works for other cake recipes so useful to know!
