Why is my chocolate cake all solid and dense inside?

Why can't I bake? Why? Why?

Hurrah!

Obvs it's not going to win any prizes, being wonky and lop sided and a bit crispy at the edges; but it's edible and that is a small miracle for me

Its just practice -It can be easier to do one deep one and cut in half I find - all the years I've done them, and I nearly always have one bigger than the other - I'm lazy and just estimate how much is in each tin The worlds your oyster now !
