Recipes for cupcakes that naughty sticky little children will eat all of and not just the icing?

as above? They claim to like cupcakes, but only ever lick the icing off. any oozy sticky recipes that might entice them to eat the actual cake. i don't like waste and we have a birthday coming up. It doesn't help that while i can make decent full size cakes, my fairy cakes are always dry. Can't blame the kids.....

I can't be doing with icing everyday cakes, mainly because I'm too lazy and don't have any artistic ability, but also because it seems to me that there's quite enough sugar in a cake, without adding a pure sugar topping, which, as you say, kids will lick off and leave the cake.

These are a big hit with my DC, especially the chocolate and jam versions

Oh they look great private thanks. no i wouldn't generally bother with icing for everyday cakes, but as it's a birthday i'm going to let him decorate some himself as he loves 'baking' !

Hey there just thought i bring a little halloween into the mix.

I am attempting this halloween cupcake recipe they look awesome and my neighbour actually baked them and they are delicious. (hopefully I will be able to make them just as nice lol i am not really a baking genius lol)

I swear by Mary Berry's cupcake recipe (Google.) Really easy to make and the actual sponges are light and delicious. Whole family love them!
