What quantities should I use? I normally use the 4,4,4 2 method but don't know how big I should go. Would 12,12,12, 6 be enough?

One egg would normally do around 15 square inches of cake, so on that basis, you would want around 10 eggs. Almost more importantly, you will probably need to have a cake cone or something similar to get the heat in to the middle of the pan, so the cake can cook through evenly. Otherwise, you will run the risk of it getting rather crisp on the outside whilst still not cooked in the middle.
