Any breakfast suggestions for my ds(7) who feels a bit sicky in the mornings?

My ds is a great eater at all other times of the day, healthy, energetic etc - but just can´t seem to stomach most things in the morning. Doesn´t want cereal, toast, yoghurt etc. I have tried fruit salad which sometimes works.
I really want to give him a good start to the day but we are so rushed in the morning I don´t have time to make anything elaborate.
Anyone have the same situation or good, easy suggestions??

My DS has days like this. He will often be tempted to eat a muffin though. They freeze well so you could always make a batch at the weekend when you have more time then just take them out of the freezer as and when you need them. There are loads of lovely recipes around. I also used to frequently make a cake out of all bran and sweetened with sultanas. Can't remember the recipe off the top of my head. Will look for it and post later if I get the chance.

Sometimes something savoury is easier to stomach than sweet. How about poached eggs and grilled bacon on toast? Or go continental and have crusty bread with cheese and ham? If you want him to have some fruit you could serve with fruit juice?

My ds 9 is similar, he is goes through phases of crumpets, cheese on toast, this week it's croissants and cold meat, he doesn't drink the morning either! DD on the other hand wakes up starving and eats whatever she can get her hands on first Confused

Yes, it seems to be a phase thing and I can never keep up! My other ds has a lovely big bowl of Weetabix in the morning. Flanjabelle (amazing name) with 2 boys plus 9 month old baby the idea of cooking up poached eggs and bacon is a lovely idea but totally unachievable for me - I can barely aim the milk into the bowl!! Like the idea of muffins or was thinking of making a batch of healthy flapjacks?
