It's been languishing in the freezer for some time and needs using. It needs to feed 4 people at about 6pm. I don't have to use the slow cooker but it's there. I have reasonably stocked cupboards with beans/lentils and herbs/spices and there are some potatoes, onions, carrots and a cabbage, plus some frozen veg as required.

WWYD?

Am not up on slow coookers so can't advise.

I would just make it into a lamb stew on the hob. Cook off (boil)the meat first - until it is tender. Then add onion, carrot and potato - stock etc. Serve with cabbage on the side. Some oregano, rosemary would be good for lamb.

I made Lamb Daube in the slow cooker which was gorgeous. Might be too late in the day for today. Just google the recipe, or Beef Daube but just substitute with the lamb.

Chuck it in the slow cooker with a bit of everything and turn on high, job done

I really do need to put my glasses on when MNing on my phone.

I read it as 45 year old lamb being in the slow cooker!

Lamb curry would have been my suggestion - either in the SC or oven - onions/veggies/lentils/lamb/tomatoes/curry paste to taste and leave it to go.

What did you opt for in the end?
