Does anyone have a reciepe for apple chutney made with eating apples?

We have a big apple tree in the garden and they are all ripe for picking. I am bored of the usual crumbles and fancy making chutney. But can you use eating apples. All the recipes I have found this morning use cooking apples.

I would just substitute one type of apple for another - just perhaps not adding as much sugar depending on how sweet your apples are.

agree with dora. i made some last year and wasn't sure what sort of apples they were. was very nice.
