I have used it once and cooked a sort of sausage cassarole, very tasty, but I'm not sure what else I can do apart from stew type things.
Does anyone have any recipes they really like or can recommend and slow cooker books I can get? thanks

make curry; brown chicken or meat, add jar of sauce (or make your own) and leave for hours!
Flavours soak in really well, and meat is super tender!

my very domesticated cousin has just sent me a book of slow cooker recipes! "New recipes for your slo-cooker" by Annette Yates published by Foulsham (£8.99). Looks fab...soups, sauces, great meat and fish dishes and terrific sounding puddings. (Great 70s style naff photos too. bonus). haven't tried it yet as I just got it today, but she's tried loads of them...
