And is it best to freeze the base on its own, or can I freeze it with the toppings on?

never occurred to me that I couldn't freeze homemade. ... I just make 4 or 5 at a time - fully made up and cooked - and freeze them - takes minutes to reheat.

If I'm making them for packed lunches ( better nutritional content than a cheese and tomato sandwich) I slice them after cooking and before freezing.

I freeze base with sauce or oil and herbs (no tomato for DD), and add toppings at time of use. Put them onto frozen pizza and bake (no defrost).
