in one meal. If they had mashed potatoes, bacon, baked beans, fried egg and mushrooms with them?

I'm just wondering if how many my lot go through is 'normal'....or whether they really are little piggy's as I've suspected all along.

My boys (5.5, 4, 2) would only eat one (big thick butchers one). Dh and I would probably eat 3 (I might only do 2)

MangledFanjo · 25/09/2006 17:18

With all that they would have 2 each!!!!

If with all that a couple max but if its with veg/mash and gravy 3-4 but afraid i do buy the posh ones! Sainsburys taste the difference chipolatas are yummy or local butchers do some nice ones

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 25/09/2006 17:19

I buy the 'thick' pork sausages from Morrisons.

DH eats 4
DS1 who's just turned 6 eat 2/3
DS2 (nearly 3yrs) eats 2/3
and I eat 3

ooo chipolatas would be way too small for mine lads!

Talking of sausages - I'd better go and get them cooked!

NomDePlume · 25/09/2006 17:25

Erm, if there was all that on the plate they'd prob only have one each (4, nearly 13 and 14). DS1 (14) might have 2 if he is exceptionally hungry.

I'd prob only have one or two and I think DH would have 2.

Tha is a lot of food (unless they are dinky portions of each)

Holidaymum · 25/09/2006 17:27

the sainsburys ones are quite large for chipolatas though so not as bad as it sounds. Biggest fave in our house sausagey wise is sausage pie made with puff pastry lots of onions and a cheesy top.

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 25/09/2006 17:28

so mine are little piggy's then .

ooh those Sainsburys Taste the Difference Pork Chipolatas are absolutely divine - I can't eat any other sausage now because they just don't taste as good (I see other people have twigged though because the stocks were low last time I went to Sainsburys!)

Mine normally have 2 normal size ones or 3 or 4 of the sains ones

portonovo · 25/09/2006 17:47

We used to have 3 each for adults and 2 each for children, but now I only buy organic ones which always seem to come in packs of 6 so it's 1 1/2 each for adults and 1 for children.

We go for the nicer but less of and less frequently approach now!

Nemo1977 · 25/09/2006 17:48

If all that was with it..1 for ds, half for dd, I would have 2 and dh would have as many as you put on his plate

Me 2, DH 2, Jess 1 and becky probably 1 too, but neither of the girls would eat the bacon.

lunavix · 25/09/2006 17:53

dh has four chunky tesco finest ones
ds has two skinny chipolatas (sometimes eats them all sometimes not) - hes 2.6
i have two or three skinny chipolatas

but we only have sausages, mash and peas, or toad in the hole mash and onion gravy.

Mum2FunkyDude · 25/09/2006 17:55

Dh can manage 3 with chips/mash and sometimes leeks.
Me 2
FunkyDude is to little.

hazelnuts · 25/09/2006 18:19

We all have 1 each. DD will eat 1 but she wont eat bacon. I have an egg and mushrooms but DC wont. I have to be in the right mood to eat baked beans. Xp1 would eat all what we have if he could, where as xp1 would eat very little.

CountessDracula · 25/09/2006 18:35

Dh has 3
dd and I have 2
the dog gets the last one

(this is normal sized sausages not those skinny jobs)

Mud · 25/09/2006 18:36

3 chipoloiats or 2 normal

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 25/09/2006 18:41

here is how much the DS's are eating tonight........
