  1. I am making filo parcels. Fillings fully cooked. How long do I cook the parcels for, and at what temperature? How "wet" should the fillings be?
  1. I have unripe avos. Have been sitting in a plastic bag with bananas. Anything else I can do to speed things up?

  1. think about 20 minutes at 180ish. hope someone can back me up there. Doesn't take long anyway.

2: I heard paper bag, not plastic. Otherwise dont know. Keep in an airing cupboard or somewhere warm?

I concur with aDOM. 180 for 20m should do the parcels. As for the avocado, if you need it today you will have to go and buy ripe ones as they won't ripen in a day.hth

agree with the avocados, they won't do it in the day if they're really not ripe now.

carmenere - wanted to say we made a soup from a recipe you posted recently - spicy lentil soup, and it was yummy. It's since been passed on as beetroot wanted a recipe for lentils yesterday!

Tis delicious that soup, it's the one I make most often in the winter, very comforting.

It's going to be featuring this winter in our house too now!

Hmm, I'll have to check the avos. Thanks re: filo. The fillings are pumpkin + feta + parsley, and cheese + cranberry.

The parcels sound delicious

Thanks, I hope so. I did exactly the same menu last year, but am in a tizzy this year because a) not v organised
b) builders in this week
c) parents coming who I don't know at all, but will probably be dealing with for 10 years or something ludicrous like that, thanks to DS1's new school
