Hot smoked paprika - where to buy?

Hi,
I have found a recipe for beef stroganoff that I would like to try out and it says you need hot smoked paprika. Any idea of where I could get this as I just see "paprika" in the dried herb section of my local supermarket. Thank you.

Ethnic food shops

I don't know about the "hot" part but I buy smoked paprika in my local tesco.

Sainsburys sell it, often in the "specialist" or "exotic" food shelves.

Oh thanks for the suggestions. I usually shop in Sainsburys but maybe I have not looked in the correct section. Is it made by Schwarz?

No, it's made by a Spanish company I think, I'll get my tin out and post on here

I found some on ebay.

Barts spices. Their smoked paprika is really hot!

Made by "La Chinata" it's in a little red tin, ask at Customer Services which section it is in.

LS24 · 25/08/2014 12:11

Oh thanks. Just rang my local Sainsburys and they do not stock the La Chinata...will maybe look online.

Sainsbury's only seem to sell the sweet stuff now not the hot one - La Chinata. I have found similar in T K Maxx though ( weirdly) in the same size tin but different brand

I buy la chinta in 750g tins from amazon. It actually doesn't last as long as you might think because my dh puts it in everything!
