Anyone got an easy homemade Nutella-like recipe?

I know, I know, it's a bit lentil-weaving, but my kids discovered Nutella on holiday and I'd like them to eat more nuts and they eat very little chocolate at the moment, so could afford to eat a bit more, but I don't want them eating all that palm oil and sugar regularly. They'd probably accept something more nutty and less sweet and chocolately than Nutella as long as there was some resemblance.

I've googled recipes but lots of them seem to need things like Coconut Oil, which I've never seen in the shops, and to require you to roast the hazlenuts to remove the skins, which sounds quite faffy.

I don't suppose anyone has a really easy recipe they can recommend?

This one looks easy enough: www.splendidtable.org/recipes/homemade-nutella
You can buy ready-skinned whole or chopped hazelnuts, but I would toast them slightly for a better flavour.

What about this? Uses almonds instead of hazelnuts

Try madeleine Shaws nutella, you can substitute stevia for honey and use hazelnut butter instead of blitzing your own nuts.
