mash some pots - sweet and normal is a good combo - chop up tons of hers - parsley nice, or dill, or whatever youve got. meantime, steam or bake of cooke en papillote with some lemon etc - then flake and mix all together. either do egg and breadcrumb, or just flour to fry on hob. or blitz some ritz crackers (or equiv low salt) and coat in those to oven bake.

kitty, I just used half and half mashed potato to cooked fish (poach it in a pan with milk) and you can use a raw egg beaten to bind it if you want, plus some parsley is nice chopeed in. Mix together, stick in the fridge for a while and then form into little patties, coat in flour or breadcrumbs and shallow fry for a few mins each side.

Tommy sauce - why is DS not allowed it? It?s OK, I would say (you can buy organic too if you want). But you could make some by frying up an onion and garlic, adding choppped tinned toms or passata and simmering down, then whizz in a blender. If you can be bothered (I can?t )

much rather make my own minus the shite they add

I boil up tinned toms or use passata and add bit of olive oil, black pepper and basil. I wouldnt imagine it would be that practical to but in a sqeezy bottle as it is fresh and will only last for so long. I tend to make it up as I need it. Only takes a couple of minutes.

Hmm OK in defence of tommy sauce it is not really full of anything so terrible. However I do agree that there is a fair amount of salt - 0.6g oper serving according to the heinz website (I console myself that it's about the only processed thing we eat so don't feel so bad about that as I never add salt to anything).
