Quick, easy & tasty dinner ideas with a very young baby? (Not takeaway!)

We've got fed up with takeaways and pizzas from the shop. DS is 10 weeks old and we don't have a lot of time to spend cooking, but we love to enjoy a nice dinner together!

Need some quick, easy and fairly healthy dinner ideas! Or recommendations of tasty supermarket ready meals - we shop at Ocado/Waitrose, Tesco and Sainsburys.

I'm sure there have been threads on this in the past but I hope you might have some ideas for anyway!

At about 3 months I stared using my slow cooker. Chuck things in, wait eight hours, eat.

Chicken tray bake. Bung chicken thighs, chunks of red pepper, halved new potatoes, and some thick slices of chorizo into a roasting tin. Drizzle with olive oil, lemon juice if you have it, salt, pepper and dried oregano. Cook at gas mark 5 or equivalent until all cooked - should take 35-40 minutes. Serve with bag of salad if inclined.

Stir fry (tesco do a pack with ginger/onion/coriander etc all chopped up in addition to veg)
Barbecue (weather dependent though!)
Steak/Jacket potatoes/veg
Salmon and pesto with jacket potatoes+veg

I used to like Sainsburys taste the difference ready meals but haven't had them for a few years.

spaghetti puttenesca is a staple in the house. If you google it there are lots of recipes online but basically:-

boil spaghetti. Fry 2 cloves of garlic in a little oil at 1 or 2 tins of tomatoes (depending on how much sauce you want and how good a quality your tinned tomatoes are) with lots of caper, black olives and a generous pinch of chilli and oregano. Simmer until you drain the pasta. Then 5 (ish) anchovies into the tomatoes sauce and move them around until they have all broken up. Ad drained pasta to sauce serve.

yum yum yum.....
