Can you help me rescue a rather bland fish pie?

I've made a big pot of fish pie mixture, but not yet constructed it in a dish with mashed potato on top, so there's time for a quick fix!
Salt would help, but its for 1yo, so can't use much. I've already got some fresh parsley and tarragon in there, but it isn't helping.
Any ideas? Mustard maybe?

Yes, a tsp of mustard and some lemon juice.

Yes to mustard plus lemon juice and some grated cheddar

Capers might help.

Garlic

Mustard has salt in, I think, check the ingredients. I would fry up a bit of red onion until it's soft and add that and some peas plus tons of tarragon or dill.

Cheeese!

WallyBantersJunkBox · 08/08/2014 14:25

Peas, sweetcorn and chopped up hard boiled egg (that makes it a luxury fish pie according to some).

Anchovies for extra fishyness!

A veg stock cube crumbled into the sauce. Oxo of low salt ones now.

ah, thanks everyone, I knew you'd be able to help me Smile
Cheese with fish has always seemed a bit wrong to me, but maybe I could cope with it grated on top! Mustard and lemon it is - I have these in the fridge already
