What should I have with my braised shoulder of lamb?

Lamb with tomatoes, red wine, olives, capers, anchovies.

Should I add some aubergines?

I'm not sure what to serve with it? Some kind of potatoes?

small potatoes roast in the lamb fat
greek salad

bigbadbarry · 26/06/2014 17:16

couscous?

Catsmamma · 26/06/2014 17:16

Mash or dauphinoise.

and a nice crusty bit of bread.

AgaPanthers · 26/06/2014 17:17

not really got any lamb fat, it will just blend in with the sauce in the le creuset.

Greek salad is nice. Not sure if I can be arsed to make it though.

Perhaps I will pop into the co-op.

having couscous tomorrow, won't do that today. I like dauphinoise, bit heavy for this weather I think though.

do small new potatoes roast in olive oil and salt - all you hve to do is open the oven from time to time and shake the tin around.

AgaPanthers · 26/06/2014 17:56

just been to the greengrocer, got some aubergines + some old (red) potatoes, plus some rosemary snipped off the municipal rosemary bush. Could do wedges in rosemary and olive oil I suppose.

yeah I think I will do the wedges, not sure I should bung the aubergines in the pot or roast them also.

Mmmm roast the aubergine. None of my lot like it, I Lurve it and am jealous! Enjoy your dinner.

Too late but chick pea or butter bean/cannelini bean mash would be nice with this.
