Can I whip cream now and leave in fridge to decorate a cake at 5pm? Will it seperate?

I'm making a cake for DDs birthday I have on hour spare and then we won't be back home till cake cutting time, around 5/6pm at the earliest.

I'm decorating with coloured whipped cream and want to prep this now. Will it be ok in the fridge for a couple of hours?

It'll be fine. I keep whipped cream for a couple of days.

Ah thank you so much! I'm in a right flap here at the moment! Already over whipped one lot and had to buy some more.
