Sorry for the shouting in the title but needs must!

It is the Real Fast Food book, magazine is £3 and not bad from my 5 min flick through.

I used to have a copy of this book but got rid of all my books when I emigrated so was pleased to get a replacement.

I'm interested Olive... so I'll probably get on later.

Love Nigel Slater, so have this already - would be there otherwise.

brimfull · 06/09/2006 13:41

Misspiggy · 06/09/2006 13:46

Ooh, will stop off on the way home to buy one! I was looking at a couple of Nigel Slater's books the other day on Amazon. She magazine's freebies are usually great - I got a fab pair of rattan flip flop type shoes in the summer with it.Thanks Olive.

That's more like it ladies, I shall not be ignored!

Back to my accounts, nudge me if I fall asleep.

Nigel Slater is my favourite chef. His latest one (can't remember name but it's a year of recipies going through teh seasons) is fantastic.

Real fast food was one of the first cookbooks I owned.

oliveoil · 06/09/2006 14:17

I must say, I cannot ABIDE the man when he is on TV, waffling on, v annoying. But I like his recipes.

katierocket · 06/09/2006 14:17

he's got a very annoying voice hasn't he, but his recipes are the best.

oliveoil · 06/09/2006 14:18

he looks like he would scream like a girl at a spider

Although when heard about his awful childhood I felt guilty about hating his voice.

His roast chicken is fab.

oliveoil · 06/09/2006 14:25

oh. Has he had a bad childhood?

Yes his mum died when he was tiny and his dad was a bit of a tyrant.

MarsLady · 06/09/2006 22:02

Got it! Thanks for that.

marthamoo · 06/09/2006 22:03

Ooh, thanks oo, I'll get that. I'm dieting (again...yawn) but I just can't pass up on free stuff. It's a compulsion of mine.

What she said!!! His "Real fast Puddings" is gorgeous. Don't think much of "She" magazine though but did buy it for the book.
