I have a small house and we are having a dinner party, but I have accidentally invited too many people and so now we don't have enough room to seat people round the table.

The weather is going to be fine, so I planned on making a bar in the garden with DH on cocktails, a couple of big truggs filled with ice and beer/prosecco.

Then inside I though of laying out a buffet, that people can come and help themselves too.

Was going to do chicken kebabs, satays, chilli prawns, prawn crackers, mango rice noodle salad and a big pot of thai curry and rice. I will have. There will be chairs dotted about for sitting if anyone wants to sit, but am hoping for people sort of nibbling and socialising. Or is it going to be too much of a faff?

Help!

It sounds lovely - but quite a lot of effort for you!

Is there definitely not enough room - I have been pretty squished at some dinners, it's been fine. Or is there any way you can add an extra small table on?

we can do 14 at a squish but 16 is just ridiculous!

i can do most of it the night before!

sounds lovely! I'm sure everyone will be delighted with a buffet outside - if I have a party in the summer I always hope the weather will be good so people can sit out
