Can I make some sort of homemade slush puppy with fruit and my ice cream maker?

The DC adore slush puppies but also like fruit so I'm trying to work out how I could make a fruit slush puppies for them. I don't want a smoothie as my DD isn't as keen as DS but she would however drink a slush till she turned blue.
They both quite like fruit but aren't very adventurous and some quick googling hasn't yielded much but I did see something about using an ice cream maker to make alcoholic slushies - they would be for me, obviously but it got me thinking about making fruit ones for the DC...

Anyone got any suggestions/recipes?

You can freeze your smoothie in ice cube trays and then put the cubes in a food processor.

Or get a snow cone maker. I saw them in costco last week. It shaves the ice cubes.

Ah yes, I've seen those when googling but trying to avoid another contraption in my kitchen(especially if its possible to do it with the ice cream maker).
