A tub of philadelphia light and some breadsticks.

Slices of smoked salmon

CountessDracula · 23/03/2004 12:58

Some ham rolled up with lo fat pineapple cottage cheese inside it (you have to be fan of cottage cheese, which I am!)

Chicken breasts chopped into lumps marinaded in soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, tabasco, worcester sauce and a tiny bit of honey. Fry them with a spray of that oil in a tin. Add some red pepper and mushrooms at the end.

BTW good low fat croutons for your anchovy salad - take a piece of bread and spray each side with that spray olive oil, then toast and chop into bits. Almost as good as the real thing...
Yum

oliveoil · 23/03/2004 12:59

nutcracker · 23/03/2004 13:03

yeah i like ham, thanks CD

Right, haven't a clue how healthy on unhealthy this is but i love it.
Pasta twists (or some other shape) with chopped up frankfurta sausages, with piles of brown sauce on top. Delicious

Coddy · 23/03/2004 13:03

I love philadelphias with " no no" brand crackers (5 points for whole box) and Chutney

OP posts:
collision · 23/03/2004 13:09

Nutty......that sounds disgusting!!!!!!!!!

nutcracker · 23/03/2004 13:11

It's lovely Collision haven't had it for a while though.
Am feeling slightly sick after that choccie mousse. DD just asked if she can have another one - yeuck

marthamoo · 23/03/2004 13:13

Yesterday I had a jacket potato with prawns, and made my own seafood dressing with a dessertspoon each of Hellmann's VERY low fat mayo (the new one in the purple packaging - ain't a patch on real thing but bearable), plain yogurt, and tomato ketchup, and splash of Lea and Perrin's. Served wth sprinkling of paprika. Yum.

OK, I know prawn cocktail is naff but I like it!

CountessDracula · 23/03/2004 13:13

Turkey and piccalilli yum

BTW i noticed in waitrose the other day there is a 4% fat cheddar - it looks like cheddar that has been left out in the sun, all brown and cracked and dry looking but it doesn't taste tooooo bad (esp if you grate it so don't have to look at it)

How many points would for eg 100g of that be?

lou33 · 23/03/2004 13:14

Take a bag of salad, chuck it in the bin. Deep fry some cheesestrings and smother in a lard sauce.

twiglett · 23/03/2004 13:15

lou33 · 23/03/2004 13:28

If I lie down when eating, will that make it lower cal?

marthamoo · 23/03/2004 13:29

CD that low fat cheddar is minging!

collision · 23/03/2004 13:33

CD.....if you look at the amount of sat fat then I can work it out for you. Half fat cheese for 40g is 2.5 pts.

Go MarthaMoo....you are well into it. I love prawn cocktail too.

Need anymore Coddy??

marthamoo · 23/03/2004 14:15

Lou, no, lying down is no good...here:

DIET RULES

  • if no-one sees you eat something, it has no calories

  • food eaten for medical purposes does not count, e.g., hot chocolate, toast, cheesecake and vodka

  • biscuit pieces have no calories because breaking the biscuits up causes the calories to leak out

  • while you are cooking, food licked from spoons has no fat

*food eaten from someone else's plate has no fat as it rightly belongs to the other person

*if you eat standing up, food has no calories due to gravity

*when you eat with someone else, calories don't count if you don't eat more than they do

  • you'll look thinner if you fatten up the people around you
lou33 · 23/03/2004 15:14

Excellent advice MM thanks .

sibble · 24/03/2004 02:49

pasta, tuna and sweetcorn - I have with balsamic vinegar dressing, DH likes with mayo
salad, strawberries, roasted peppers and feta
salad, oranges, cucumber, tomatoes, red onion etc.
pitta filled with grated raw carrot and beetroot, lettuce, tomato, (cheese or tuna optional)

I live on salad in all weather, love it.....
