Do I need to chuck? Lemon juice & metal spoon question

This may seem a bit of a silly question, but I have made a lemon drizzle cake & whilst making the lemon sugar syrup I left a metal spoon in the saucepan and then forgot & it all boiled up. Anyway, once cooled I tasted the syrup to make sure it was ok & didn't have a metallic taste- it didn't so went ahead & used the syrup. Do you think it will be ok? Now I'm wandering if that was a good idea.
I licked the well coated spoon Blush and now 30 mins later I now have an odd feeling at the back of my throat, slight odd taste, and keep needing to clear it - coincidence? am I going to poison everyone?!

I think you're probably going to die from spoon poisoning yes.

I think that the only way to get rid of that taste is with a cup of tea and a good slice of.........Lemon Drizzle Cake!
