I bought a peppa pig birthday cake for a birthday next thurs and thought I could just freeze it.
Now having second thought I looked online and im having nightmares re soggy or dry sponge and sweaty icing.
was I wrong? is it salvageable if I defrost in the fridge.

I had to buy it in advance because they are never in Sainsbury so the first chance I saw one I bought and froze it.

It should be fine! Did you freeze it in the box? I would take it out of the freezer the day before you need it and leave on the side to defrost. I'd take it out of the box to defrost. The icing will go sticky to start with but it just needs to fully defrost and then dry out. Putting in front of a fan can help :)
