I use Plasmon Baby Pasta, this is what Italians feed their children, this stuff is great!! I buy mine from www.noonoos.co.uk very friendly reliable site.

much easier to smash normal pasta before cooking than snip if afterwards, IME

Annabel Karmel range at Boots does two types.

Doesn't Barilla exist in the UK? I'm sure I saw it there. If so they do a range called i Piccolini, which are just downsized classic pasta shapes, so ideal for children.

Otherwise for a very small child there are the classic soup pastas. I was amazed that you couldn't get stelline in the UK, it's a staple here. Maybe I should set up a business exporting the stuff.

I would also avoid English brands of pasta, they are awful, don't cook well and go mushy straight away. But then I'm a pasta snob from the land of spaghetti.
