My dh bought me a lovely burger press, which I'm going to play with tonight. If you make home made burgers, do you add anything extra to the meat?

Feta cheese in a lamb burger

I only add salt pepper and something like steak or fajita spices.
I never use egg or breadcrumbs, they are not necessary with a press.Also only grill or bbq
