Urgent! Can you microwave a leg of lamb-oven knackered

I have a lovely leg of lamb well rubbed with rosemary and oil all ready to pop in the oven and it's broken. Do I put it in the freezer till we get oven repaired or can I do something with the microwave?

Oh no! No idea about the microwave, but it doesn't sound that lovely... Do you have nice neighbours? Could you ask to "borrow" their oven to cook it?

I would cook it on the hob brown off and then cook on low simmer in a botle of wine

right....butterfly the leg (take it off the bone and flatten it. marinade it in yoghurt and spices and grill it....will be delicious.

otherwise, take it off bone and use in a casserole, again will be delicious.

DON'T microwave it, waste of good meat!

zippi, that's a great idea too, pot roast...

zippitippitoes · 16/08/2006 17:11

or take off bone and make kebabs to grill or barbeque

Or cut into leg steaks and pan fry with yummy things

agree with everyone else... don't microwave... i would butterfky and then grill... hmmm! yum!

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll put it in the fridge overnight and pot roast it on the hob tomorrow when I have more time and am a bit less stressed.
Did I mention I had family staying?
Take aways tonight I think!
