Have only just started trying to make curry at home and am still on the "Patak curry paste" level - would like to graduate to using raw ingredients and wondered if anyone could recommend a good cook book ? I really want to find an evening class - but no luck so far !

Lotf of books on Amazon - Maddhur Jaffrey seems popular - but please recommend away !

A friend of ours, Khalid Aziz, wrote a couple of books. They must have been good because my Indian employers had a copy of one!

Maddhur Jaffrey's curry bible. Has curries from around the world and lots of interesting stuff on the histroy of curry. The recipes are fab though aften involve making your own curry paste so can be fiddly. Well worth the effort, though - yum.
