Special cheese toasty or your own filling?

Okay, so I like buttering both sides of the bread, grating cheese into the middle of the slices, placing them in the toasty machine, adding some diced onion and a generous splashing of worcester sauce, placing the other slice on top then closing the toast toasting machine until done.

Out comes a joined, crunchy crusted sandwich of melted cheese and mixed flavours that needs a small hole to release the boiling steam before devouring.

What do you put in yours?

Same as you, they are the best

Stop it, I am supposed to be on a diet!!! Sad
That sounds perfect, though. I might add some blue cheese in if I had some. And/or some mushroom. And naice ham. Hmmmm... no wonder I need the diet!

the best toastie is the inside of the bread spread with Reggae sauce, ham and cheese filling, outsides buttered : )

(Although cream cheese and thinly sliced spring onion is surprisingly good too!)

Same as you without the Worcester sauce. Can add red pesto instead. Or some of my chilli drizzle sauce.

A friend also made a cheese toasty but with vine tomatoes - now that was also delicious!

Cheese and marmite, or cheese and beans if I'm feeling particularly scummy!

RonaldMcDonald · 25/02/2014 01:04

Butter outside of bread
Strong cheddar, slice of ham and smear of english mustard

Can't eat bread now though

Yes, onions make a meal of it, I feel!

Pesto is wonderful.
Tomatoes (yy to the vine ones) are too.
Or tomato chutney if I don't have fresh tomatoes.
Spring onion and tomato, yum.

The kids like it with sweetcorn.

And ham as often as we have it in the house.

Mmm. I've decided what I'm having for lunch today. Is it too early, do you think?
