Aldi What did I do wrong?

£80 Angry Trolley about 3/4 full. 6 bottles of wine and a weeks worth of meat. Nothing strange that I wouldn't usually buy. Similar in Sainsburys would have cost about the same. Also had to go to Sainsbury for branded cereal, gammon steaks and Aunt Bessie oven chips Sad

Aldi has got a lot more expensive than it used to be.
I used to be hard pressed to spend £100 in there but I can easily spend £175 on the same trolley full now (caveat - it's to feed 6 or 7 people)

That is cheap if you think about it. My Aldi shop is about £55. If I also bought 6 bottles of wine it would come to £80.

I agree it's better as a once a month bulk buy shop. I buy the things which I find good, such as their own brand hoola hoops, their chocolate and biscuits. Also cheese, orange juice, apple juice, fizzy water. Plus all the cleaning products.

Tbh that is about it, I could not do a full shop there and I don't like the fruit and veg at all. But it still saves money to go once a month.
