has anyone heard this on the news? apparently coca cola are bottling water straight from the tap. they claim it has a rigorous process eliminating germs and stuff - but the local authority where its based said that was bollocks becuase they do that in the normal process anyway. apparently it costs something like 0.037 p per litre from the tap and 0.99p from coca cola.

cheeky bastards!

The BBC story on the coke water is here

Batters - coke's already been accused of cutting the water supply elsewhere - it's here

Anyone remember the urban myth about the Pepsi slogan, when it's blurb "the choice for a new generation" was translated in Thailand ( I think) - "Pepsi will raise your ancestors from the grave"..... Sales fell allegedly.

Oh and Scottish water is the best - I'm desperate for a decent cup of tea. I miss Scottish blend and Nambarrie adverts

We're moving back to Scotland from Herts. in October mainly for proper water and deep fried Mars bars

No, M2t I found it to be completely foul-tasting and undrinkable, therefore vile (as in abominably bad) and now I think about it, I should have asked for my money back.

My goodness Cam! I get the picture.

Bobsmum.... too right. When I go down to visit the Inlaws in Liverpool my skin erupts in spots after a couple of showers! And my hair turns into an afro. I swear they think I just look like that all the time!

Maybe this is the reason why half of sidcup hasn't any fucking water this morning - all diversions, water tanks and portaloos around my way - luckily I am on the right side of the road so had a wonderful long warm shower this morning - not sure if DDs school open though??

Twinkie, I wonder how Coca-Cola got permission to bottle up the tap water and sell it back to us? Presumably they pay your water board for the rights?

To be fair, they do remove chlorine and other chemicals and add minerals to it.... which is all Volvic do to their water.
