urgent!! can you make crostini ahead of time?

I want to make it now to have around 8:30 tonight?Will it go soggy?Dh says it will,I'm unsure and oven is ready and waiting?

Just do the bread, rub it with a cut clove of garlic as you usually would when nice and crispy but don't add any toppings until about half an hour or so before your guests arrive or as your dh says, will go v soggy esp anything with tomatoes. Can you have your toppings cut/prepared ready to finish at the last minute?
