I made rhubarb and strawberry crumble once and it was lovely. Go for it.

Sounds lovely!

Rhubarb and strawberry is a divine combination.

beckybrastraps · 31/07/2006 14:26

Isn't it? Somehow, I just didn't expect it.

When I was a student and very skint, I used to crumble everything. Banana, tinned peaches, tinned fruit cocktail, you get the idea. I think your idea sounds lovely.

This has very little to do with your question (though I agree - it does sound lovely, go for it) but I bought a cake in M&S a few weeks ago - from the freezer section, I think it was a brulee/cheesecake thing - rhubarb and ginger. It was lush...sooooo scrummy. And your post has just made me remember it and now I want to buy another one.

marthamoo · 31/07/2006 14:45

Or was it apricot and ginger....?

I feel a trip to M&S coming on.
