Good Food Magazine Sept 2006 - What recipes have you tried?

I have a subscription to Good Food magazine and always try and make something new each month.
This month I have tried (so far) the Pancetta Wrapped Salmon for Sat night dinner for me and DH. It was lovely.
Have also tried the Roast Fish with chickpeas and ginger for Sunday lunch, DH, DS (age 5) and DD (age 1) all loved it. DS actually said 'I think it might be better than spag bol' - high praise indeed!
I am very tempted by the White Choc and Raspberry trifle, but I am supposed to be on a diet!
Has anyone else tried anything new this month??

Anyone tried any new recipes this weekend?
What would you recommend?

Is this the one with the raspberry meringue thing on the cover? If yes, have made the raspberry, cream, marscapone and amaretto (sp?) cake they recommended for a picnic. Made it for friend's birthday and it was very yummy.

I have been tempted by that recipe too, was it easy to make?
DH not keen on raspberries though so I could end up with a huge portion for myself!

v easy to make and you could replace rasps with strawberries (much cheaper too!) A couple of friends made this after they tasted the one I made and I am no great cake maker, so it must have been relatively simple
