Lunch for friends - veggie, carnivores and kids

I need some bright ideas for an easy delicious lunch - 4 adults, one is vegetarian, and 4 kids aged 5 - 10. They did lovely antipasti and spaghetti bol for us (plus something veggie) so I can't do that and am stuck for ideas - any thoughts??

How about something Mexican? Rice, veggie/meat chilli, guacamole, salsa, salad, tortillas/tacos etc would be easy enough to make and then everyone can help themselves.

Mexican is a brilliant idea, why didn't I think of that?! Thank you, I think I'll do that. And make a jug of tequila!

Will the kids all eat chilli?

Mexican is brilliant. Otherwise, I was going to suggest a big pan of homemade soup with sausage, veggie sausages and fried onions to have in cobs alongside.

No probs Fruit...I love the idea of the Tequila to go with it! If the kids don't like spicy food, you could always make a mild chilli and have a dish of sliced jalapenos for the adults to add to their own.

Yes, kids might not like chilli - think I'll do a mild veggie chilli and some chicken to wrap in fajitas with all the extras, jalapeños on the side for the dads!
