Big old lump of sirloin steak in the fridge, use by yesterday...

It looks a bit dull brownish (doesn't seem to pong) and has been hiding in the back of the fridge, (still wrapped up) since I bought it during the week.

It was a dear organic one that slipped my memory. Is there anything I can do to salvage it and not poison anyone? Stew it maybe?

As long as it's not that weird dull green shade it'll be fine in a stew. Or a steak and veg pie. If you have a food processor you could mince it and make a steak lasagne or Bolognese, plumped out with veg or or lentils of course. Don't waste it!

I have a hand grinder in the cupboard somewhere...

Can I cook it up and freeze it? I'm thinking a pie for tonight and batches of bolognaise/lasagne filling. Its only DS who eats meat around here!
