I carefully saved the link not realising it doesn't last for long.

I basically want a fish pie I can make without the white sauce faffing about and with crème fraiche please.

TIA.

I am going to do the Jamie Oliver Ministry of Food one is no one has it but I would still like it for another time.

Try this one:
2 packs ready made mash or colcannon
1 pack frozen or fresh fish pie mix
Prawns (optional but nice)
2 leeks
Flour
Turmeric
Butter
Creme fraiche

Put some flour in a bowl and sprinkle turmeric over it, then mix it together so it looks pale pink/peachy colour. Toss the fish pie mix in this so it is coated.
Chop up the leeks and fry in the butter until soft, then stir in the fish pie mix. Add the prawns if you are using them. Add the creme fraiche and stir until it looks like fish pie filling but yellow.
Put in ovenproof dish and spread the mash over. Cook in the oven at 190 for about 20 - 30 mins.

It's lovely. This would feed six if not greedy. Four in my house.

That's not Daylight, btw, but I make it often and it is a no-fail version with low effort and not much washing up.

That sounds really nice, notnow but I would have to make my own mash.

I made a variation on the JO one but I would leave out the lemon zest and juice next time as DH not keen and it would have been better for DD if I had mixed the crème fraiche in rather than spread in on top of the fish. I had laid the fish out in lines so that everyone got a piece of each of the 3 fishes.

That sounds lovely. Mine looks a bit of a mess, to be honest, and yours sounds much smarter. I am too lazy to make mash for pie because of the washing up. I do feel guilty though.

Better to look a mess and taste delicious than the other way around!

It's only a pan, a colander and a sieve! Grin.

Too smart for DH, DD and DS2 who didn't like the lemon zest or the crème fraiche.
