I have no idea what to do with it and don't want it to go to waste. We had some with biscuits and grapes last night, I thought I could top some chicken breasts with it or maybe wrap it in chicken and make kiev type things.

As you can tell, I need some good ideas...

Pleeeeeease, thank you!

mazzystar · 24/07/2006 13:57

Its great on pizza, with olives.

Mascaraohara · 24/07/2006 14:17

Oh yum thanks!

Does it melt, could I stir it into peas?

It's a lot of chees so I'm going to have to get creative.

Eat it all in one go, on its own. That's what I'd do

It's my third favourite cheese

MrsSpoon · 24/07/2006 14:39

I've had it on pizza with parma ham, it was delish.

MrsBadger · 24/07/2006 14:39

rofl at cheesy peas!

I'd put it in risotto or pasta
[more slobbering]

WideWebWitch · 24/07/2006 14:40

I'd eat it on its own. Or I'd buy some port and eat it with that. I love dolcelatte

Greensleeves · 24/07/2006 14:41

Have you had vignotte, WWW? It's celestial. I'd crawl over broken glass to get to a crumb of Vignotte. Mmmmmm.

Mascaraohara · 24/07/2006 14:45

We had it on it's own last night (well with grapes)

Cheesy peas are a no not then? I was gonna back it into tubes so dp could have squeezy cheesy peas for lunch.

What about a soup?

I love dolcelatte too.

Another pasta dish: gently heat single cream in a pan, add the cheese. When melted all a couple of handfuls of fresh baby spinach and some black pepper. When the spinach has wilted mix it in with some pasta.

Nigel also has a dolcelatte and peaches recipe but I've never tried it.

JackieNo · 24/07/2006 14:54

Ooh, I love Vignotte, Greensleeves - yumm.

WideWebWitch · 24/07/2006 14:55

I haven't greensleeves, but will try now you've recommended it! what about this? or look here, there's a bit at the bottom saying 'show me more dolcelatte recipes

Greensleeves · 24/07/2006 14:55

I'm hungry now

SenoraPostrophe · 24/07/2006 14:57

www - you would eat a kilo of the stuff on its own?

blimey.

you can make up lots of cheese sauce and freeze it if you need to. I'd do that. and I'd eat some of course. or send some to cheese-addicted mumsnetters.

SenoraPostrophe · 24/07/2006 14:58

oh it's a lb, not a kg. that's alright then.

WideWebWitch · 24/07/2006 15:26

I read your first post thinking a lb isn't that much between 2 is it? I mean it's quite a lot of cheese but still!
