I have two options....pigs knuckle and dumplings in prague. Or a curried salad I made from Good Food.

What is yours?

Felicity Cloake's perfect pulled pork with homemade bourbon barbecue sauce. Off to look for the curried salad recipe...

NettoSuperstar · 30/12/2013 20:03

Tonkotsu, or the egg masala from Rick Stein's India

frenchfancy · 30/12/2013 20:04

Crispbread spread with brebis cream cheese topped with a slice of home grown tomato (the one called ananas was the best) and a slice of home grown cucumber.

It was a close run thing between that and sourdough toast with quince jelly.

A mushroom risotto with truffle shavings. Simple but soo good.

ChristmasAlready · 30/12/2013 20:16

Chettinad chicken and chicken pasanda, with green chutney from Rick Steins India.

Plus some gorgeous Indian again that I didn't cook at Dishoom. The black dhal especially.

ChristmasAlready · 30/12/2013 21:54

I haven't got rick steins India but I will add it to my wish list, thank you

Bacon Jam on hot buttered white toast.

Ruprekt · 30/12/2013 21:58

Slow cooked pigs cheek (60p bargain from Waitrose) with creamed celeriac

ChristmasAlready · 31/12/2013 10:00

My sisters roast potatoes on Christmas day...absolutely gorgeous!!!

AndMiffyWentToSleep · 31/12/2013 12:03

Smittenkitchen's mushroom bourgignon.
Actually that comes a close second to ridged kettle crisps (salt&vinegar flavour). Food of the gods!

frenchfancy · 31/12/2013 12:56

Definitely doesn't disqualify you miffy. I've been eyeing up the mushroom bourgingnon recipe for a while,I must try it. (can't get ridged salt and vinegar crisps here unfortunately :( )

JonSnowKnowsNothing · 31/12/2013 13:00

roasted pheasant, mustard mash, gravy made with the roast pheasant juices and grilled mushrooms. Simple but unbelievably delicious.

pregnantpause · 31/12/2013 19:05

I don't think I'm a foodie exactly, but I love food, and this year I made a Vietnamese steak salad that was very memorable, but ottolenghis chicken and spiced freekah from Jerusalem has really left an impression and changed, or maybe influenced, the way I cook.

AndMiffyWentToSleep · 31/12/2013 20:47

I can't get them where I am either, French. But they're top of my wish list when I go home or have visitors!

dairymoo · 31/12/2013 21:09

Tonight's lobster mac & cheese. A worthy last meal of 2013.

BonaDea · 31/12/2013 21:12

We had pigs cheeks last night and they rocked!!

SuckItAndSee · 31/12/2013 21:14

Penguinttc · 11/01/2014 03:24
