Dh is disparaging my marzipan apples

Can I ask why you are making marzipan apples?

Dd wanted to buy some marzipan fruits to eat and they were £6 for a tiny box.

So I got a slab of marzipan for £1 and have made all sorts of fruit.

They're apples. I've made apples, pears, oranges, bananas, lemons and strawberries.

I think they are the most Christmassy thing I've seen on MN yet this year .

They do have a rather vegetably-feel about them, but it wouldn't stop me eating them.

They taste yummy.

You just need some stalks! Whole cloves, stuck 'flower end' in, make perfect apple or pear stalks, as well as adding a lovely scent. Stick them pointed end in to oranges, so only the 'flower' part shows.
