Has anyone any ideas of what sweet or savoury food I can serve in shot glasses?

I've had a google and it's coming up with allsorts of trifles or chocolate mousse.

I will have no time to prepare anything on the day but will have a couple of hours the day before so need something that is super easy or something that can be made in advance.

Dsis suggested angel delight Grin!!

Some ideas here

Thank you! I got distracted with my online food shop last night and forgot to come back and thank you for the link!

I like the dip and crudités idea...I can't remember which other ideas I decided on but will soon find out when my food order is delivered Grin

layer of crumbled biscuits, layer of lemon curd, layer of natural yogurt or whipped cream (maybe with a tiny bit of sugar/vanilla).

Alternatively do the curd/yougurt or cream/ and then add a sprinkle of crushed (shop bought) meringue. But that needs to be done at the last minute.

Or tiny cold soups, or gaucamole and salsa (oooh, could layer those) to dip crudite in?

Ooh, thanks! Could I whip the cream and leave it overnight or does it have to be done ready to serve?

Also, love the sound of layering. I've ordered salsa and tortilla chips, too but not sure if I'll have enough glasses to do too many variations.

I have done, it's not quite as nice as freshly whipped but you're making tiny desserts in glasses so you'll get away with it! Or just use greek yogurt straight from the tub?

How about these mini tiramisu and strawberry shortcakes?

Lemon posset? Savoury harder, maybe mini prawn cocktails?

HiccupHaddockHorrendous · 18/12/2013 21:14

Lemon posset sounds doable and I've just found a recipe that suggests serving with lemon shortbread but I suppose I could buy normal mini shortbread rounds to go with.

Would it keep overnight if I made them up the day before?

Prawn cocktail was on my list for savoury but wondered if it was a bit naff (personally, I love it!!). Although, I am quite well-known for embracing my inner naffness Grin. Also, a bit scared I'd give everyone food poisoning!
