I'd eat it. Salmonella is the worry with chicken but is destroyed by cooking so I think you'd be ok.

Carmenere · 16/07/2006 18:21

I would say it's probably ok as they are usually cooked for hours, just make sure it smells ok before you eat it.

Spagblog · 16/07/2006 18:22

Ummm, I think the advice is - eat it, but don't reheat it.

WideWebWitch · 16/07/2006 18:22

No, I wouldn't re heat it.

zippitippitoes · 16/07/2006 18:32

I'd eat it but I wouldn't heat it back up again..except I'm not very keen on them dp likes them, I think they have a nasty artificial taste from that spray they use and the skin is too wet

I don't normaly get them but Dh felt the urge, we were going to have it cold with salad, but I was going to carve it sooner rather than later and puit it in the fridge, it was still quite warm when I did carve it. It was the last one in the shop so I wonder how long it was sitting there? I jnow they are supposed to be kept really hot, and it was piping when we got it. It just doesn't look appealing now, suppose once I cover it in salad cream it will be fine

And it was covered still in the bag, just opened the end to let it cool quicker and no flies about .
