What's your favourite cocktail to make at home?

Decided that I don't have enough cocktails in my life and would like to make some at home without breaking the budget. I had a whiskey sour at a restaurant bar the other evening and loved it, so that's definitely going on the list. It's just whiskey, freshly squeezed lemon juice, sugar and a bit of egg white (optional).

If you have any cocktails that you make at home and that don't require too many expensive ingredients please share! I'd love to do a sort of grown up advent calendar different cocktail a night but that might be a bit pricey! This will replace my nightly glass of red wine so just sticking to one it shouldn't be too bad.

Mojito, just rum, lime, mint leaves, ice and some tonic water unfortunately I can be a little heavy on the rum :(

We have quite a few parties and thirsty friends so I make big jugs. These are always popular:

Cranberry juice, Wodka, Sparkling wine (any cheap one will do), good dash of Cointreau. You can add soda water or lemonade to taste.

Malibu, strong cold tea (I like earl grey), apple juice, sparkling water and if you're feeling flush some fresh rapsberries.

I also love a good Singapore Sling.

French martini - vodka, chambord and pineapple juice. Proper lush.

Oh those all sound fabulous, getting very thirsty now thinking about them! Will pick up a few bits with the shopping tomorrow and experiment. Thank you.
