How do I get my chicken out of the s.c.?

Just that really, wedged it in earlier and it's cooking away nicely. The house smells lovely. I put a load of veg and herbs underneath as I thought I could make a nice tasting gravy out of the juices.
The only thing is, it's really wedged in, how do I get it out with out pouring away all the juices ?

I do it like this. Take a wooden spoon and stick it all the way in the cavity. Then take what I call a spatula or pancake flipper in the US but I think you call a fish slice, and slide it under the other end. Lift it out using both, tilt it onto the spoon to drain, then quickly transfer to a platter.

Hope it works for you Smile

Two slotted spoons, one either side, scoop it out. Or if it's not falling apart yet, hoik it out with the carving fork.

Enjoy! We're having lamb today (yum!).

Brilliant, thank you. Smile
I really fancy lamb, I saw a lovely looking pic on the slow cooker fb page. It made my mouth water.

I'm roasting the lamb, with garlic cloves stabbed into it. Bloody yummy. Got potatoes in the oven now as well.

Tagine is good for lamb in the slow cooker. Lamb is almost too expensive to "waste" though putting it in what is basically a stew.
