I'd love to know your views on the most appropriate breakfasts for an 11 month old.
My ds loves weetabix but i'm concerned about the amount of salt he is injesting. Also, the effect that this cereal is having on the contents of his nappies leaves a lot to be desired!! Lets just say that he has gone from rabbit droppings to huge, full, sticky poo's...sorry!!!

What would you wonderful mums recommend?

Breakfast is the only meal my kids are a bit rigid and faddy on. Must be cereals (corn flakes, rice pops or bran flakes) or porridge -- sometimes muesli. With a sprinkling of strawberry crunchy (American granola) on top. DD (2.4yo) is just as particular about which chair she sits in and which side of the table it's on as what's in her bowl.

DD is 22 months and for the past year or so has loved her breakfast - her favourite meal of the day. Depending on time she will have anything from:

cereals (she loves any bit is only allowed chocolate type ones, etc. at a weekend - becuase daddy want them too then!)
toast
eggs
yogurt
fruit
crumpets or muffins
scotch pancakes

She normally has a couple of things from this list.

Apparantly the only cereals that don't have added sugar are Shredded Wheat and Grape Nuts (which I love but they are way too expensive)

weetabix with milk and banana and a touch of natural brown sugar(I know its still sugar!)
