Can you help me with meal ideas out of this lot?

In the fridge I have cheese (cheddar, parmesan and st agur). Also philly with garlic and herbs.

4 eggs. butter.

salad leaves, cherry tomatoes, cauliflower, carrots, an onion and cabbage.

milk

ketchup, brown sauce, bbq sauce, pesto, mustard.

In the freezer I have salmon fillets, frozen peas, a naan, a tiny amount of sag aloo, the bean part of a sausage and bean casserole ( we ate the sausages but had some beans left over) a packet of bacon.

In the cupboards I have rice, pasta, puy lentils, polenta, risotto rice, quinoa, kidney beans, sweetcorn, spaghetti, noodles, flour, herbs & spices, stock cubes and pots, gravy granules, tinned tomatoes, oil, vinegar, balsamic...

Tonight I've made quesadillas with a bit of leftover chicken, black eye beans, sweetcorn, cheese and bbq sauce.

I was thinking of spaghetti with salmon, peas and the philly for another meal.

Any other ideas?? Preferably without shopping but realise I may have to.

cheese omelette served with side salad (leaves and tomatoes)

If you have no bread serve it with the naan.

Make a veg risotto with the onion and carrot. Top with grated parmesan. Doesn't matter if it is long grain rice rather than risotto, although the texture may not be quite so nice.

Sorry, its as much as I can do to make up meal plans out of what I have in my random foodstuffs! If there really are posters on Mumsnet who enjoy doing this kind of thing, can I post my list later?

Make a cheese sauce with the milk and cheese (i make it with cornflour) serve with pasta, doesn't matter if it isn't macaroni. Serve with peas.

Can't you just tell these are the sort of ingredients I usually have to hand!?

Carbonara
Cauliflower in with the beans served with quinoa or noddles
Pesto salmon and salad or stir fried cabbage

Pasta and vegetable bake.
Add some bacon to the bean casserole and serve with rice or polenta.
Cauliflower cheese served with some crispy bacon on the side.
Vegetable curry served with the naan, sag aloo and rice.
Your salmon dish.
Homemade tomato sauce mixed in with spaghetti(add some crispy bacon to the sauce if you have any left)served with a salad on the side.
Homemade soup, depending on what flour you have you could make some bread rolls to go with it.
Omelette or tortilla.

Make up a pastry and make a fish pie, or salmon en croute.

Do you have mayo to make a coleslaw with the cabbage and carrot?

Do you want one meal or a week's worth, it's not clear?

FreakoidOrganisoid · 11/11/2013 18:04

Thanks lots of great ideas here Smile

Wally just a selection of things to choose from as I was feeling uninspired by that lot. As many meals as possible without having to go shopping I guess.

Spicy cauliflower cutlets to go with the sag aloo, naan, rice and a dhal dish

Melt the blue cheese into cream (if you have any) and mix into pasta. Serve with separate salad. Also good with basil and pine nuts toasted and Parmesan on top. Not very diet friendly.
